  • First close of fund only holds about one-third of the target

  • Generally invests in mature startups, with early-stage investments for Indonesia
  • Singapore-based private equity firm also has an office in Jakarta, Indonesia
  • Along with spinoff Openspace Ventures, its portfolio in the region includes Gojek, Redmart, Zimplistic, Indomaret

Sovereign’s Capital

  • $60 million for early-stage startups in Indonesia
  • Typically invests $250,000 to $2 million
  • Silicon Valley VC outfit has an office in Jakarta
  • Portfolio in region includes Grab, Bridestory, Xendit
