It’s extremely tough to nail down funding right now, so earlier this month we started helping out with our first ever online pitching session, dubbed Life’s A Pitch.

The event, on April 10, saw a lot of demand, which we then whittled down to six founders given time to woo our six assembled VCs. Here’s a summary:

The startups pitching:

  • Joonaak – delivery service in Cambodia
  • iStore iSend – logistics and fulfilment tech
  • EcoWorth – Transforming waste materials into reusable products
  • MyCashback – shopping site for Thailand
  • HonestDocs – digital healthcare
  • TapHomes – real estate tech for Indonesia

Five of the startups got follow-up interest from our VCs, who were:

  • Qiming Venture Partners, Ong Yongcheng
  • Gobi Partners, Nadia Fonny
  • GGV Capital, Dimitra Taslim
  • HongKongX, Lucy Liu
  • SPH Ventures, Eugene Tham
  • Cathay Capital , Nicolas Du Cray

We’ve got more sessions coming soon
