It’s extremely tough to nail down funding right now, so earlier this month we started helping out with our first ever online pitching session, dubbed Life’s A Pitch.
The event, on April 10, saw a lot of demand, which we then whittled down to six founders given time to woo our six assembled VCs. Here’s a summary:
The startups pitching:
- Joonaak – delivery service in Cambodia
- iStore iSend – logistics and fulfilment tech
- EcoWorth – Transforming waste materials into reusable products
- MyCashback – shopping site for Thailand
- HonestDocs – digital healthcare
- TapHomes – real estate tech for Indonesia
Five of the startups got follow-up interest from our VCs, who were:
- Qiming Venture Partners, Ong Yongcheng
- Gobi Partners, Nadia Fonny
- GGV Capital, Dimitra Taslim
- HongKongX, Lucy Liu
- SPH Ventures, Eugene Tham
- Cathay Capital , Nicolas Du Cray
We’ve got more sessions coming soon
