Samsung Malaysia Electronics and Malayan Banking Berhad (Maybank) have jointly launched QR payment functionality within Samsung Wallet in Malaysia, allowing eligible Samsung Galaxy users to access Maybank's MAE Scan & Pay feature natively within the wallet application from July 21, 2026.

Singapore-based Ant International has integrated its Alipay+ payment gateway with Argentina's national QR payment scheme Transferencias 3.0, enabling international visitors to make digital payments at merchants across the country using their home-market payment apps.

Kyrgyzstan's Interbank Processing Center has partnered with Alipay+, the wallet gateway under Singapore-headquartered Ant International, to launch international QR payment services for users of the ELCARD Mobile app, with the support of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Under the guidance of Bank Indonesia and the People’s Bank of China, Indonesia and China have launched a cross-border QR payment linkage connecting Indonesia’s QRIS payment system with Chinese payment platforms through Alipay+ and UnionPay International.
