Indonesian insurtech firm PasarPolis has announced a major expansion of its strategic partnership with GoTo Group's on-demand service firm Gojek, to expand insurance access in Indonesia.

Indonesia-based insurtech firm PasarPolis said Tuesday that it is now poised for profitable growth and is preparing for its next major step: expansion into Singapore.

PasarPolis, a Insurtech company based in Indonesia, has reported a 2 times revenue growth since its last funding round until 2023. It has maintained a positive gross margin since its first year of operation, demonstrating its financial strength and stability.

Indonesian insurtech PasarPolis has on Tuesday unveiled strategic plans to capture the insurtech market opportunities in the country. According to the firm, the insurtech industry anticipates a dynamic and transformative year in 2024.

In the interview, Van Zyl also shared PasarPolis’ short-term and long-term plans, the company’s strategy and the challenges it faced. He also shared his views on the overall insurance industry in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.

PasarPolis, an Indonesia-based insurtech firm, has become Indonesia's first official full-stack insurtech ecosystem, giving the company the ability to both distribute and underwrite its own digital insurance products.

Indonesia-based insurtech PasarPolis has partnered with e-commerce giant Shopee to provide affordable and accessible insurance for customers across Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam. With expansion plans across Southeast Asia, PasarPolis currently has partnerships with over 50 insurance providers and digital giants including Gojek, IKEA, Xiaomi, and more.

PasarPolis has big-name investors in its $54 million round.
