Southeast Asian super app Grab said Thursday it has officially launched Grab Intercity, giving users the ability to conveniently purchase affordable bus and ferry tickets between Malaysia and Singapore right on the Grab app.

Grab Singapore, a leading superapp in Southeast Asia, announced Wednesday that it has bought and relaunched Singapore’s food site HungryGoWhere and its accompanying social media channels. The revamped HungryGoWhere brand aims to address the growing interest of diners to reconnect with its local food scene in much deeper ways.

Singapore-based super app Grab Holdings Limited announced Wednesday the launch of GrabMaps, a new enterprise service that will allow the company to tap into the $1 billion market opportunity in Southeast Asia per year for mapping and location-based services.

Grab Financial Group (GFG), a Singapore-based fintech platform, announced Monday that it will be launching GrabFin, a new brand for its digital payments, insurance, lending and wealth management offerings. Following its launch in Singapore and Malaysia, the GrabFin brand will be progressively rolled out in other Southeast Asian markets in the coming months.

Grab, the Singapore-based superapp, announced Thursday three goals to drive sustainable and inclusive growth in Southeast Asia. The new goals are doubling the number of marginalised individuals earning income on its platform by 2025; reaching 40 percent female leadership by 2030, and achieving carbon neutrality by 2040.

When contacted about the potential acquisition, Grab's communications team said the company "will not comment on rumors and speculation".

Grab operates across almost 500 cities in eight countries in Southeast Asia. Its operations include ride-hailing, food and grocery delivery services, digital payments, lending, insurance, wealth management among others.

Southeast Asia super app Grab and Sea Ltd’s e-commerce platform Shopee have started providing BNPL options in Malaysia since last year. Advance Intelligence Group’s Atome, Pine Labs’ Fave, Allectus Capital-backed Hoolah, 500 Startup-backed Split are among the FinTech startups that provide such services in the country.
