Aiming to make our tech landscape a bit less hellscape-y, we recently held more of our Life’s A Pitch sessions, where early-stage startup founders from across Southeast Asia pitched online to a bunch of prominent VCs.
Our two most recent sessions saw a total of 12 young teams – a diverse bunch, from tech for fish farms to robo-software – peddle their patter to investors from 11 noteworthy VC firms.
The startups pitching:
- Triip (Singapore/Portugal) – Earn money for future trips by sharing your travel plans today and completing tasks
- Bangku (Indonesia) – Business loan marketplace
- Kravve (Malaysia) – Calling itself “Etsy for food,” it helps mom-and-pop food vendors to sell at scale
- Recommend Group (Malaysia) – Homes servicing marketplace for Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand
- Moodah ID (Indonesia) – Inventory management service
- Buyandship (Hong Kong) – Cross-border fulfillment startup which has recently been busy shipping out masks to Europe donated by Hong Kong billionaire Charles Brown
- Glee Trees (Singapore) – Automated software for repetitive workplace tasks, with a focus on supporting multiple Asian languages
- Poseidon-AI (Singapore) – Tech solutions for the fast-growing aquaculture (ie: fish farming) industry

- Mobiversa (Malaysia) – Digital payments services for businesses
