France’s Alstom has secured a first-tranche order worth about €800 million ($910 million) for metropolis metro trains within Hanoi's urban rail projects, the French rail-technology company said.

Vietnam's conglomerate Vingroup has signed a contract with France's Alstom for 200 metro trains for Hanoi capital city, as the Vietnamese conglomerate builds out the capital city's rail network.
