Funding Societies launched its green loans product at a time when environmental, social, and governance (ESG) investing and sustainable investing are gaining traction in the investing fraternity.

The funding round will enable SUN Energy to cement its leading market position in Indonesia and bolster growth in the region alongside blue-chip strategic partners that share a similar vision on energy transition.

ABC World Asia (ABC World), the Singapore-based Asia-focused private equity impact fund, is set to make its first exit as part of a transaction between shareholders of portfolio company Sunseap Group and global renewables energy producer EDP Renewables (EDPR).

To support the development of the local EV industry, the government proposes to provide import duty, excise duty and sales tax exemptions on EVs.

The fund will take a broad sector approach and focus on the five high opportunity areas it has identified: energy transition, climate action, sustainable cities, and circular economy, sustainable food and agriculture, and inclusion.
