Singtel and Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) have launched a program to help small and medium-sized enterprises organize their business data as they prepare to adopt artificial intelligence.
The Singtel Stack-EZ AI Data Enablement Programme will offer up to 10,000 SMEs six months of complimentary access to SPACE, Singtel’s new AI-powered document management solution, alongside AI capability-building workshops, according to an October 13 announcement.
The emphasis is on structuring and organizing existing business information so that employees and AI tools can find and use it more effectively. Poorly organized documents and inconsistent data practices can limit the reliability of AI-enabled workflows even when businesses already have access to AI software.
Singtel described the document-management access and training as an initial support package for SMEs. Its announcement did not specify how many businesses had joined, or provide measured productivity outcomes from using the service.
