Singapore-based AI startup Estha has launched a Mac-based suite of business AI agents designed to process supported documents and data locally on Apple Silicon devices.
The company is positioning Estha on Mac for small and medium-sized enterprises and professionals that want AI assistance for meetings, documents, presentations, spreadsheets, and internal knowledge without routinely sending sensitive data to external inference services.
After installation and model download, supported workflows can run without an internet connection and without metered cloud-inference charges, according to the company.
Local processing for business workflows
The initial suite includes Meeting Intelligence for transcription and summaries, Document Processing for internal files and research, PPT Maker for presentations, and Data Analyst for spreadsheets and internal datasets.
Estha also offers Quick Bot and Advanced Studio, no-code tools that let businesses create private chat applications around internal procedures, playbooks, and knowledge documents. The company plans to add a PDF Reader and a prototype-oriented coding agent later this quarter.
The launch targets a persistent gap in Singapore AI adoption. TNGlobal reported in May that AI use remained much lower among smaller firms than among large enterprises, with cost, in-house expertise, strategy, and trust among the barriers cited by businesses.
Estha cited IMDA data showing SME AI adoption at 14.5 percent in 2024 compared with 62.5 percent among non-SMEs. The company argues that local processing can help address privacy and cost concerns for workflows involving contracts, customer information, internal spreadsheets, or meeting recordings.
Eric Lam, co-founder and CEO of Estha, said businesses often want AI assistance with the same work they are least comfortable uploading to external services. He said the Mac product is intended to bring AI closer to customer-controlled hardware without requiring employees to become AI specialists.
The company said local processing can reduce routine data transfers for supported workflows, though organizations remain responsible for device security, access controls, policies, and human review.
Estha on Mac is optimized for Apple Silicon and uses Apple’s MLX framework and Metal GPU acceleration. The software is available for download from the company’s website.
