Singapore-headquartered customer experience company TDCX has opened a campus in Foshan, China, extending its delivery operations for Hong Kong and mainland Chinese clients in the Greater Bay Area.
The facility opened on September 2 and is TDCX’s sixth center in China, according to the company’s September 4 announcement.
TDCX said the campus is intended to provide Cantonese- and Mandarin-speaking customer support, sales and back-office services. It opens with about 100 positions, although the company did not disclose the site’s capacity, investment cost or confirmed client commitments.

Small teams can test operations before scaling
The Foshan facility is offering pilot teams of three to 10 full-time employees. TDCX said those teams can be set up in 60 to 90 days for work spanning chat, email, voice, social media and back-office support.
The company is pitching the model as a lower-commitment way for Hong Kong businesses to test delivery from mainland China before adding staff. It is also targeting mainland companies seeking customer experience and business-to-business growth services within the Greater Bay Area.
TDCX said the campus will support e-commerce and retail, travel and hospitality, technology platforms and financial services. The company expects employment at the site to increase over the next two years, but it did not provide a numerical hiring target or a timetable tied to signed projects.
Foshan sits next to Guangzhou and is connected to Hong Kong through the wider transport network serving the Greater Bay Area. TDCX described the site as being about 90 minutes from Central Hong Kong, a travel estimate that may vary by route and border conditions.
AI tools are built into the delivery model
TDCX said every pilot team at the campus will use its proprietary artificial intelligence tools. The tools cover quality assurance, coaching insights, agent assistance and analysis of customer feedback.
The company is packaging the services into several offerings. These include a general launch team, a Cantonese-first customer experience team with optional Mandarin and English coverage, a growth team for prospecting and lead qualification, and an AI-enabled upgrade for existing operations.
TDCX did not disclose the models underlying the tools, the degree of human oversight or independently measured productivity and quality results. Clients handling personal or regulated information will therefore need to assess data residency, access control, model monitoring and compliance arrangements for their own workloads.
That governance question is particularly relevant in financial services and other regulated industries. AI-assisted customer operations can accelerate routine work, but outputs, recommendations and access to customer records still require clear accountability and review.
Foshan becomes the company’s sixth China center
The opening expands a China network that TDCX positions as part of its wider Asia delivery footprint. TDCX said it has more than 20,000 employees across 37 locations globally, serving industries including e-commerce, fintech, gaming, health technology, media and travel.
The Foshan campus also gives TDCX a base in a district where local officials are promoting technology and outsourcing services. Guo Yaoyu, a deputy director in the Nanhai District management office, said the district had more than 200 outsourcing-services companies and more than 3,400 technology enterprises as of June. Those figures were supplied in the company announcement and were not independently verified.
For TDCX, the test will be whether the small-team approach converts into larger client programs. The announcement establishes a physical operating base and an initial workforce, but the pace of expansion will depend on customer demand and the performance of its AI-assisted delivery model.
