The United States-based marketing software company Klaviyo has opened its Asia headquarters in Singapore with support from the Singapore Economic Development Board.

In a statement on Thursday, Klaviyo said it plans to expand its regional team to more than 175 employees by the end of the year. The office opens with more than 25 staff, part of an Asia-Pacific team of over 150.

Brian Kealey, Klaviyo’s Asia-Pacific managing director, said Singapore can provide access to skilled talent, regional connectivity, and proximity to a growing customer base and developing AI ecosystem.

Clare Lee, vice-president of the global enterprises division at the Singapore Economic Development Board, said the investment can create opportunities for local talents.

Klaviyo highlighted Asia is one of its most active markets. Revenue in the Asia-Pacific region is growing at a double-digit rate, the firm noted. It recorded a 35% year-on-year revenue growth outside the Americas in the second quarter of 2026, against a global annual revenue run rate of nearly $1.5 billion.

The company also released survey findings on AI and shopping in Singapore, featuring 1,000 consumers aged 21 to 60. Three in four respondents said they had used AI to help find or decide on a product in the previous three months, and 51% said they were open to AI agents making routine repurchases on their behalf.

As many as 85 percent said they would share more personal data with brands in exchange for more relevant recommendations, while nearly half said they wanted brands to stop sending irrelevant messages.
