Maybank Indonesia Syariah and Muslim Pro have launched Amanah Pro, an embedded Islamic banking experience that allows users of the Muslim Pro app to open a Shariah-compliant Hajj savings account in minutes through a paperless process.

The app is powered by digital banking technology provider audax Financial Technology, the firm said in a statement on Wednesday.

The deployment marks the first embedded Islamic banking experience between a global Muslim lifestyle platform and an Islamic bank. Muslim Pro has over 190 million downloads globally. Meanwhile, Indonesia is home to more than 240 million Muslims, making it the world’s largest Muslim population and a major growth market for Islamic digital finance, with a possible value at over $43 billion by 2034.

Through Amanah Pro, users can open accounts without branch visits or paper forms, with the service designed to help Indonesian Muslims plan and save toward Hajj through a digital Shariah savings journey. The service brings Islamic financial products directly into the Muslim Pro ecosystem alongside existing features such as prayer times, the Quran, and Qibla direction.

Nafees Khundker, CEO and Group Managing Director of Muslim Pro, said Hajj remains one of the most meaningful ambitions for many Indonesian Muslims, and that the journey often begins years before a person sets foot in Makkah. He said Amanah Pro helps Muslims prepare with greater confidence and convenience by bringing together faith, technology, and trusted Islamic financial services.

Steffano Ridwan, President Director of Maybank Indonesia, said the launch reflects the bank’s commitment to strengthening Indonesia’s Islamic finance industry through collaboration, demonstrating that digital innovation and Shariah principles can strengthen each other.

Kelvin Tan, CEO of audax Financial Technology, said Indonesia represents one of the most significant opportunities in Islamic digital finance, and that the right approach is to meet users inside the platforms they already trust.

The launch marks the first major milestone in audax’s partnership with Maybank Indonesia Syariah, achieved within 18 months of announcing the collaboration.
