Tesla is recruiting five positions in Vietnam covering sales, service, charging, human resources, and purchasing, according to a post on X by Ricky Ip, Regional Recruiting Manager at Tesla.
Ricky Ip’s post showed “Tesla is officially coming to Vietnam – and we’re hiring. Our mission is to build a world of amazing abundance and we are looking for passionate people to join us in Vietnam and help make that vision a reality.”

Tesla established its Vietnamese subsidiary, Tesla Motors Vietnam LLC, with a charter capital of VND77.667 billion ($3 million) in September. The filing lists its headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City. The registered business activities include wholesale and retail sales of vehicles, parts, machinery and equipment, along with import, export and distribution.
None of the five postings — sales, service, charging, HR, and purchasing — describes factory, assembly, or manufacturing activities in Vietnam. They cover sales, service, site development, administration, and regional sourcing.
Taken together, the postings point to Tesla building sales, service, charging and staffing operations in Vietnam. They do not show the timing of any launch, the locations of showrooms, service centres or charging sites, the models Tesla would sell, or whether vehicles would be imported or assembled locally.
Vietnam’s car market is led by the domestic EV maker VinFast. Vietnamese car sales reached 48,484 units in August 2026, with VinFast accounting for 20,161, or 42 percent of the total.
