Green GSM Philippines is holding a three-day driver partner festival from September 12 to 14, with the company expecting up to 5,000 current and prospective driver partners to take part.
The Green GSM Platform Driver Partner Festival is centered on the handover of the first 1,000 electric vehicles to driver partners at The Tent in Las Piñas City and Green GSM depots, according to a company announcement distributed on September 13.
The event comes as Green GSM expands its partner-based operating model in the Philippines alongside its directly operated electric taxi services.
Vehicle rental model targets lower entry costs
Green GSM said the festival will introduce a vehicle rental model for driver partners with an initial investment starting at PHP 5,000. Eligible partners can choose among VinFast vehicles including the four-seat Herio Green or VF 5 and the seven-seat Limo Green.
The company said support for qualifying partners includes free charging and VinFast warranty coverage of up to seven years or 160,000 kilometers for the Limo Green and VF 5 or Herio Green. Green GSM presented the rental structure as a way to reduce the upfront barrier for drivers moving into electric vehicle operations.
The company is also launching the Global Green GSM Driver Partner Community in the Philippines. The initiative is intended to give drivers a channel for operational updates, policy information and peer-to-peer support as the partner network grows.
Driver partners attending the event can test-drive VinFast vehicles, ask questions about EV operations and complete registration procedures for joining the platform.
Green GSM broadens its Philippine mobility network
Green GSM currently operates electric taxi services in Metro Manila, Central Visayas and Mindanao. Its local offerings include Green GSM Car and the seven-seat Green GSM Limo premium taxi service.
In August, TNGlobal reported that Green GSM launched its seven-seat premium electric taxi service in the Philippines using VinFast Limo Green vehicles. The driver partner festival extends that expansion toward a model that combines Green GSM’s platform with vehicles operated by partner drivers.
Green GSM has also been forming partnerships with local taxi operators and transport groups as it increases the number of electric vehicles operating through its ecosystem.
Le Thi Thu Trang, chief executive officer of Green GSM Philippines, said the company expects the event and vehicle handover program to expand livelihood options for drivers while improving the quality and professionalism of its partner network.
The company did not provide a timetable for vehicle handovers beyond the September 12 to 14 event series. The first 1,000 vehicles are positioned as an initial expansion of the Green GSM Platform driver fleet in the country.
