Singapore-based game publisher iterco has opened iterhaus, a creative hub, and Porch, a community café, in South Jakarta, marking an expansion beyond game publishing into physical community infrastructure for Indonesia’s creative industry.

In a statement late last week, iterhaus said it can offer workspaces, meeting rooms, event spaces, playtesting facilities, a hybrid motion capture and podcast studio, workshops, and networking programs. Porch, which is open to both members and the general public, can help people can work remotely, meet collaborators, and participate in community events.

Indonesia is the optimal location for its first physical hub because of the country’s growing community of game developers, founders, artists, designers, and digital creators producing work with regional and global reach, iterco highlighted.

Since its establishment, iterco has published 10 game titles, received more than 15 international industry awards and nominations, and worked with studios and creators across Southeast Asia.

Matthew, CEO of iterco, said the company wanted to give back to Indonesia’s creative ecosystem by creating a central hub where developers could meet, share ideas, showcase work, and build relationships.
