OnSite, a Singapore-based startup developing an AI-powered communication platform for the construction and facilities management industry, has raised S$1.7 million ($1.3 million) in a seed funding round.
In a Wednesday release, OnSite said the round was co-led by Tin Men Capital and Alter Global, with participation from Hustle Fund and Gondor Capital.
The company aims to address longstanding communication and information management challenges in Singapore’s construction sector, which is valued at up to S$53 billion annually.
Despite its economic significance, the industry remains among the least digitized, relying heavily on messaging apps, phone calls, and paper-based documentation for on-site coordination in Singapore. This fragmented approach often results in information loss, project delays, and payment disputes, particularly affecting small and medium-sized contractors. According to OnSite, digital inefficiencies cost Singapore’s construction sector more than S$1.1 billion annually.
OnSite’s platform can replace existing communication channels with a system that integrates messaging, voice notes, and images, while using artificial intelligence (AI) to automatically organize and structure data by project, location, and timeline. The system also creates a searchable record intended to function as an audit trail.
The newly raised funds will be used to expand its engineering team and accelerate product development, OnSite highlighted. Planned features include AI-driven assistants, project analysis tools, predictive risk assessments, and integrations with third-party software. OnSite is currently in beta testing with partners in Singapore and Hong Kong, and expects to exit the beta phase later in 2026.
Investors highlighted the broader opportunity in construction technology, a sector that has seen relatively limited funding despite its economic scale. Data cited in the report indicates that construction tech startups in Singapore have raised modest amounts in recent years, suggesting room for further growth and investment in digital solutions for the industry.
