Binance, among the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world, is recruiting a General Manager for its Ho Chi Minh City office in Vietnam.
On its recruitment website, Binance said the General Manager in Vietnam would lead and oversee the offering of Binance’s products and services into Vietnam. The executive will lead and manage all aspects of the Vietnam operations, including sales, marketing, finance, and customer service. Another task is to ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and company policies. The manager will also build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and government authorities.
The recruitment post also says a qualification is “Commercial enough to handle a JV,” suggesting that Binance will operate in Vietnam as a joint venture.
In November 2025, Binance said it plan to establish its Vietnam headquarters at the Startup & Innovation Hub of HCMC (Sihub) in the southern metropolis of Vietnam. At the time, Binance signed a memorandum of understanding with Ho Chi Minh City Department of Finance, in order to advance blockchain and digital asset development, laying the groundwork for greater innovation, adoption, and growth in Vietnam’s fast-evolving financial landscape.
In September 2025, the Vietnamese government issued a resolution on piloting cryptocurrency exchanges in Vietnam for five years. So far, about ten businesses have expressed their interests to join the program. Many banks and securities companies have established businesses for the pilot, including leading banks in Vietnam such as Techcombank, VPBank, LPBank, VIX Securities, and Sun Group. Among them, Sun Group is the only one currently not operating in the finance sector.
According to the United States-based blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis, the value of cryptocurrency transactions in Vietnam is estimated at $220-230 billion from July 2024 to June 2025, averaging more than $600 million per day. This figure places Vietnam among the three largest cryptocurrency markets in the Asia-Pacific region.
