AirAsia MOVE, a Malaysia-based online travel agent (OTA) platform, has entered into an investment cooperation framework agreement (ICAF) with Fullsing Industrial Park, a premier industrial zone in Haikou, Hainan.
AirAsia MOVE said in a statement on on Monday that the agreement marked a significant step towards AirAsia MOVE’s plans to enter into the Chinese market.
According to the statement, this strategic collaboration aims to leverage the strengths of both parties to boost AirAsia MOVE’s operational footprint in China, starting with Hainan province.
Under the ICAF, AirAsia MOVE and Fullsing Industrial Park will jointly explore investment opportunities, focusing on technology integration, digital marketing, and operational scalability to enhance AirAsia MOVE’s OTA services.
The partnership will also include knowledge-sharing initiatives to develop innovative travel solutions tailored to the Chinese market, thereby aligning with Hainan’s strategic position as a Free Trade Port and a key tourism hub.

Fullsing Industrial Park, renowned for its advanced facilities and support for tech-driven enterprises, views this collaboration as an opportunity to diversify its investment portfolio in the travel and tourism sector.
It noted this partnership aligns with Hainan’s goals to attract foreign investment and promote tourism as part of China’s broader economic development strategy.
