GAMEE, a Web3 and mobile gaming platform and subsidiary of Animoca Brands, has announced it has received an investment from TON Ventures, the first venture fund of The Open Network (TON).

Managed by a DAO with a mandate to invest in projects built on TON, the investment from TON Ventures will empower GAMEE’s ecosystem, including the WatBird Mini App, Animoca Brands said in a statement on last Friday.

According to the statement, GAMEE will further integrate TON-based digital assets, such as TON-powered tokens and NFTs, into GAMEE’s Telegram Mini App to enhance user engagement.

It is noted that GAMEE has over 4 million players using TON Wallets connected to its WatBird Mini App, and plans to further expand its activities on the TON gaming ecosystem and onboard additional gaming and Web3 communities, GameFi investors, and Telegram users to the TON Blockchain and TON Wallet.

This will feature community-centric and viral market activations on the GAMEE Telegram Mini App to integrate users into TON.

“We are thrilled to deepen our relationship with The Open Network (TON). We plan to enrich the gaming experience we have built for Telegram with new viral and community-focused mechanics centered around the meme character WatBird,

“This is another milestone in welcoming our community of 90 million Telegram gamers into the TON ecosystem,” said Bozena Rezab, Co-founder of GAMEE.

GAMEE was founded in 2015 and has been a subsidiary of Animoca Brands since 2020.

The firm is a high-engagement mobile gaming platform focused on onboarding a mass gaming audience to Web3.

It has over 90 million registered users and has served over 10 billion gameplay sessions across multiple ecosystems.

GAMEE’s WatBird games and WatPoint mining have collectively onboarded 4 million user wallets into the TON ecosystem.

The company has partnered with over 40 major Web3 communities including Mocaverse, TON, Notcoin, Decentraland, The Sandbox, Cool Cats, and others.
