The Asian Development Bank (ADB) mobilized a $135 million climate financing package for VinFast Trading and Production Joint Stock Company (VinFast) for manufacturing Vietnam’s first fully-electric public transport bus fleet and first national electric vehicle (EV) charging network.

VinFast, the first Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, has received the Autobest The Rising Star award in a ceremony at the 2022 Paris Motor Show. The award is to recognise the rapid emergence of VinFast: from a newcomer to leading the pack of ambitious new automotive brands in Europe.

Along with establishing its headquarters in France, Germany, and the Netherlands, as well as developing an extensive retail and service network, VinFast continues to seek a suitable location for a European manufacturing facility.

VinFast, Vietnam’s global electric vehicle (EV) maker, will make Netherlands debut with EV models VF 8 & VF 9. The Netherlands is one of VinFast’s three key markets in Europe and among the continent’s most developed EV market.

VinFast, the automotive arm of Vingroup, announced its participation in The Climate Pledge – a commitment to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2040, co-founded by Amazon and Global Optimism. As the first Vietnamese enterprise to sign the pledge, VinFast affirms its determination to contribute to sustainable development.

VinFast, on the other hand, is taking a different approach. It is building a global EV brand. Besides its manufacturing complex in Hai Phong, Vietnam, VinFast will build a plant in US, and planning another in Europe. It is set to make history as the first car brand from Southeast Asia to build manufacturing plant in the US and Europe.

VinFast, the automotive arm of Vingroup, on Saturday delivered the first batch of 100 VF 8 all-electric sport utility vehicles (SUVs) to local customers. VinFast owns an automotive manufacturing complex that boasts up to 90 percent automation in Hai Phong, Vietnam. Capacity is 250,000 cars annually.

Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast announced Friday the simultaneous opening of the first six VinFast Stores in California. In 2022, the firm will continue to open more than 30 stores in California, while also exploring expansion to other states across the United States.
