MAS collaborates with banks and technology partners on quantum security
The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), DBS, HSBC, OCBC, UOB, SPTel and SpeQtral have on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to embark on quantum security collaboration and study the application of Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) in financial services.

SpeQtral has successfully closed a $8.3 million financing led by Xora Innovation. With quantum cryptography fast becoming mainstream and the Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) market expected to be worth $20 billion by 2035, SpeQtral said this latest capital injection will allow the company to strengthen its position as a quantum-secure communications company.
