Singapore’s emerging tech startup pipeline appears to be maturing to reach a ‘steady state’ with approximately 60 startups incorporated annually, but early-stage startups looking to fundraise this year may face especially challenging conditions, according to the Singapore Early-Stage Emerging Tech Startups 2022 landscape report.

SGInnovate, a deep tech ecosystem builder and investor backed by the Singapore government, has on last Friday launched Deep Tech Talent Central (DTTC), an integrated strategy for solving talent challenges across emerging tech sectors.

Singapore Health Services (SingHealth) and the country’s deep tech investor Singapore Innovate (SGInnovate) has announced a three-year partnership to build and scale up health science innovations today, with Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare as the first area of focus.

The panel discussion hopes to take a closer look at the role of innovative energy efficiency solutions in achieving carbon reduction goals. It also hopes to dive deeper to understand the current market trends, opportunities, barriers to deployment, and what can be done to drive adoption and meet various sustainable development goals.

On June 10th, SGInnovate and TechNode Global presented a panel to discuss how the rapid rise of China’s technology sector can lead to the development of local deep tech capabilities, alongside its various stakeholders.
