Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) has partnered FinDev Canada and a consortium of United Nations partners and platform-based initiatives to launch $1.5 billion climate and blended finance platform to address risks associated with climate change.

Japan's largest bank MUFG Bank has on Tuesday announced that it has established the Marunouchi Climate Tech Growth Fund L.P. with Mitsubishi Corporation and Pavilion Private Equity Co., Ltd. The fund which has $400 million at establishment, is targeting a fund size of $800 million to $1 billion.

MUFG Innovation Partners Co., Ltd. (MUIP) and MUFG Bank, subsidiaries of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Inc. (MUFG), have on Tuesday announced that they have established a $100 million fund called the MUFG Innovation Partners Garuda No. 1 Limited Investment Partnership with PT Bank Danamon Indonesia, Tbk (Danamon), a leading commercial bank in Indonesia.

MUFG Bank plans to invest $300 million in Indian startups through the new MUFG Ganesha Fund. Through this fund, MUFG Bank will invest in middle- to late-stage Indian startups. In the future, the bank will aim to leverage its group strengths to provide a wide range of financial services to its portfolio companies.
