Mitsubishi Motors Corporation will join the Philippine government’s Electric Vehicle Incentive Strategy (EVIS), signaling a move to expand its electrification efforts in the country, the Japanese automaker said in a press release on Monday.

Japanese automakers Nissan Motor, Honda Motor and Mitsubishi Motors have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to explore the possibility of Mitsubishi Motors’ participation, involvement, and synergy sharing in relation to the business integration through the establishment of a joint holding company outlined in an MOU signed between Nissan and Honda.
