Brookfield, a global investment firm founded in Canada, has entered into a joint investment framework agreement with Malaysian clean energy firm Solarvest Holdings Bhd to jointly develop, construct and operate at least 1.5 GW of utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects in Malaysia over next three to five years.

Brookfield Asset Management, a global alternative asset manager headquartered in New York, announced last Friday a S$535.3 million ($413 million) acquisition of two business parks and a high-tech industrial building in Singapore, its first investment in the city state.

International Finance Corporation (IFC) has committed to part finance a 550 megawatt peak (MWp) solar power project in Bikaner, Rajasthan being developed by Brookfield Asset Management with $105 million through long-term non-convertible debentures.
