It’s that time of the year again when we take a look back at what had happened during the year in the tech and startup scene.

Binance has established a joint venture with a consortium led by MDI Ventures (MDI) to expand the blockchain ecosystem in Indonesia with the development of a new Indonesian-based digital asset exchange. Binance will provide world-class asset management infrastructure and technology to support the development of the new exchange platform.

The company was said to be among some 170 firms that applied to the Monetary Authority of Singapore for a permit to offer cryptocurrency services.
