Indonesia-based conglomerate Astra and Japan-based automotive firm Toyota are strengthening their strategic partnership and expanding collaboration in the used car business in Indonesia through a partnership in PT Astra Digital Mobil (ADMO).

WeLab, a Hong Kong-based fintech platform, announced Monday the completion of the acquisition of an Indonesian commercial bank, PT Bank Jasa Jakarta (BJJ), together with PT Astra International Tbk (Astra), one of Indonesia's largest public companies.

The company plans to use its fresh capital from the Series C fundraise to continue working on its digital solutions. It will be used to penetrate key healthcare verticals across the country, improving user/patient experiences with tech-based solutions for the country's most pressing healthcare problems.
