Indonesia-based electric vehicle (EV) startup MAKA Motors announced Thursday the successful completion of its seed funding round, raising $37.6 million. The funding round was co-led by AC Ventures, South Korean investor SV Investment, and East Ventures.

Tesla Sdn. Bhd. (Tesla), an American multinational electric automotive manufacturer, has on Thursday announced its strategic expansion into the Malaysian market. The expansion plans including vehicle importation, setting up supercharger network, head office, service center and experience center.

Gentari Sdn Bhd, a Malaysia-based clean energy solutions provider has partnered KPJ Healthcare Berhad, Malaysia’s largest private healthcare provider to offer clean energy solutions.

Ni Hsin EV Tech Sdn. Bhd. (NH EV TECH), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Malaysia main market-listed Ni Hsin Group Berhad, has on Monday inked a partnership with Boustead Technology Sdn. Bhd. (BOUSTECH), a wholly owned subsidiary of Boustead Holdings Berhad, to promote the electric motorcycles known as EBIXON EV Motorcycles.

"Next week, Elon Musk asked to discuss with me the possibility and his commitment to increase his investments in Malaysia," Anwar was quoted as saying.

Malaysia-based clean energy solutions provider Gentari Sdn Bhd (Gentari) via its wholly-owned subsidiary Gentari Green Mobility Sdn Bhd has activated its roaming network of electric vehicle (EV) charging points in partnership with EV Connection Sdn Bhd (EVC) and Green EV Charge Sdn Bhd (GEV), a subsidiary of Yinson GreenTech (YGT).
