Taiwan’s electronic giant Lite-On (Liteon) will invest $110 million and $210 million more in two wholly owned Vietnamese subsidiaries, a total of $320 million, according to filings dated October 30 with the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE).

Amid the AI trend, Liteon said both increases are for capacity expansion and the company will use its own funds.

The first increase of $110 million goes to LITE-ON Vietnam. As a result, the subsidiary’s cumulative equity can go up to $542.5 million. The second of $210 million goes to LITE-ON Technology Vietnam, increasing that subsidiary’s cumulative equity to $369 million.

The October filings come after a smaller plan the company announced in April 2026, when it said it would invest $149 million in the same two subsidiaries. That plan comprised $110 million for LITE-ON Vietnam and $39 million for LITE-ON Technology Vietnam.

Liteon makes printed circuit boards (PCB), printers, scanners, Wi-Fi modules, and electronic components in Vietnam. Its first factory in Vietnam was opened in Hai Phong city in 2013. Liteon has since expanded its operations in Vietnam with a new factory in the neighboring province of Quang Ninh.
