Sacom Crypto Asset Exchange Joint Stock Company (SCEX) has become the second of five crypto-asset trading platform candidates in Vietnam to reach the requirement of charter capital at VND10,000 billion ($380 million).
In a filing with the ministry-run National Business Registration Portal dated October 14, SCEX showed that its chartered capital doubled to reach VND10,000 billion.
SCEX was established on September 30, 2025, as LPEX, with initial charter capital of VND6.8 billion. Its capital rose to VND360 billion in February 2026 and VND5,000 billion in late August 2026.
SCEX, the trading platform associated with lender Sacombank, is the second to reach the requirement. The first one is CAEX, the trading platform associated with private lender VPBank.
Others are VIXEX, associated with stock broker VIX; Vietnam Digital Asset JSC, associated with conglomerate Sungroup; and TCEX, associated with lender Techcombank.
SCEX is one of five applicants whose files the Ministry of Finance has judged complete and valid for consideration of a licence to operate a crypto-asset trading platform. SCEX says it has built its technology to an information-security standard of level 4 and uses a multi-layer asset-custody system.
The State Securities Commission of Vietnam has requested all candidates to complete applications for digital asset trading platforms by May 2027.
