Singapore-headquartered customer-experience technology company Toku has extended its local numbering and public switched telephone network connectivity offering to Zoom Contact Center across 14 Asia-Pacific markets, according to an October 13 announcement.
The arrangement allows enterprises using Zoom Contact Center to select Toku as a connectivity provider through Zoom’s administration portal. Toku said it had been a Zoom Phone connectivity partner since 2021; the latest step expands its role to contact-center deployments.
The 14 markets named by the company are Australia, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Toku argued that contact-center calling requires attention to local numbering, routing and regulatory obligations, especially when businesses deploy voice-based AI assistants across more than one market. The AI functions depend on existing telecom networks for inbound and outbound calls.
Founder and CEO Thomas Laboulle said the carrier relationships and routing rules behind a voice agent are a key infrastructure consideration. The announcement did not provide enterprise adoption figures, network quality measurements or separate rollout dates for each country.
