Tencent Cloud and AI Singapore have launched the AI CAN DO IT Tencent Cloud Hackathon Singapore 2026, bringing together DBS, Keppel, Aspire, Ryde and NTU Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine to provide industry problem statements for agentic AI projects.
The program runs from September 16 to November 3 and includes five tracks covering banking, real estate, fintech, digital-native services and healthcare. Participants are expected to build practical AI-agent applications using Tencent Cloud tools including CodeBuddy, WorkBuddy and Miora.
The hackathon’s public page lists a S$17,000 prize pool, with S$10,000 for first place, S$5,000 for second and S$2,000 for third.
Five industry tracks
DBS is supporting a banking challenge around a conversational transaction agent with explicit user authorization and deterministic execution. Keppel’s real-estate track focuses on turning expert knowledge into reusable intelligence.
Aspire is contributing a fintech challenge around an enterprise knowledge system with role-based access control, security logging and audit trails. Ryde’s digital-native track focuses on multi-agent dispute resolution for rider and driver cases.
NTU Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine is supporting healthcare challenges around patient self-triage, care navigation and longer-term self-care support.
The challenge design puts governance requirements alongside model capability in several tracks, including access control, authorization and auditability. Those constraints make the projects closer to enterprise deployment problems than open-ended prototype demonstrations.
Submissions close in October
Project submissions close on October 16, with finalists scheduled to be announced on October 23. Demo Day and the awards ceremony are set for November 3.
Tencent Cloud said registered participants receive product credits and technical support during the program. The organizers also said strong participants may be considered for internship fast-tracks, while some projects may be considered for proof-of-concept, investment or incubation opportunities. Those outcomes are discretionary rather than guaranteed.
The event builds on Tencent Cloud’s earlier AI coding activities in Singapore. A previous Singapore station concluded in May with a focus on AI projects for social impact and sustainability.
