Google Cloud has launched specialized editions of Gemini Enterprise for financial services and legal teams, marking the first industry-specific packages built on its workplace artificial intelligence platform.

The two products are available in preview to Google Cloud customers globally. They combine Gemini Enterprise’s models, agents, data connectors and governance controls with workflows and integrations designed for regulated professional work.

Financial services package adds research agent

Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services includes a Google-managed Financial Research agent, more than 50 specialized skills and 13 connectors to market data, news and regulatory sources.

Connectors named by Google include FactSet, LSEG, Moody’s, MSCI, PitchBook, S&P Global and the US Securities and Exchange Commission’s Edgar system. The company said the package is initially intended for capital-markets and corporate-banking workflows such as credit research, portfolio monitoring, customer due diligence and preparing issuance materials.

Deutsche Bank participated as a design partner and plans to use the research agent in its Corporate Bank. The lender is also exploring applications in financial crime risk management, forecasting and pitch preparation. CME Group is another early user cited by Google.

Google said the agent can show its methodology, cite sources and preserve data snapshots for auditing. Those features address requirements that are especially important in regulated decisions, although customers remain responsible for validating outputs and configuring access to licensed data.

Legal edition connects to specialist systems

Gemini Enterprise for Legal packages skills for contract review, due diligence, citation verification, regulatory monitoring and data-subject access requests. Its connectors include Docusign, Everlaw, Harvey, iManage, Legora, NetDocuments, RelativityOne and Thomson Reuters.

Google said connected systems can pass existing document and matter permissions into the platform, helping firms maintain confidentiality controls and ethical walls. The company also said customer prompts, files and outputs remain within the organization’s cloud environment and are not used to train its base models.

Launch customers include Cleary, Freshfields, Weil and Williams & Connolly. The product is intended to support lawyers rather than replace professional judgment, particularly where an AI-generated answer depends on current law, privileged material or a client’s internal policy.

Industry packages extend the core platform

Google introduced Gemini Enterprise in October 2025 as a governed environment for employees to use and build agents across workplace data. The new editions add preconfigured domain capabilities instead of requiring every customer to assemble an industry workflow from the general platform.

The strategy also puts Google more directly against specialist financial and legal AI providers, even as several of those vendors appear in its connector and partner ecosystem. Google has not disclosed general-availability dates or pricing for either preview.

For Asia-Pacific organizations, global preview availability makes the products accessible in principle, but actual deployment will depend on data residency, licensing, local regulation and the availability of the connected services in each market.
