Deemples, a Malaysia-based golf platform and mobile app, has officially launched in Thailand – the region’s golf tourism hub that is dubbed the Golf Capital of Asia, after raising its $2 million funding last year.
The firm said in a statement on Monday with the largest golfer user base and number of golf course partners onboard across Southeast Asia, this expansion into Thailand aims to enhance the golfing experience by fostering a more connected and accessible community.
With thousands of golfers and partner courses spanning across Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei, and now Thailand, the firm sees itself a growing ecosystem that seamlessly connects golfers across ASEAN.
“At its core, golf is about connections—both on and off the course,
“Deemples is revolutionizing how golfers meet and play by removing the barriers to organizing a game,” said David Wong, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Deemples.
He added the platform is making it easier than ever to book a round, find playing partners, and enjoy seamless payments—all in one app.
According to the statement, Golf is booming across ASEAN, with Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia emerging as top destinations for both local and international players.
Thailand alone welcomes 700,000 golf tourists annually, drawn to its 250+ championship courses and world-class golf facilities.
Meanwhile, Malaysia and Indonesia are rapidly growing their golf tourism markets, attracting players from Singapore, Japan, South Korea, and China.
As ASEAN’s golfing landscape continues to grow and evolve, Deemples opined that technology is playing a key role in transforming how golfers connect, compete, and experience the game, especially among younger generations.
It noted that innovations like Deemples are breaking down traditional barriers—such as membership-only clubs and the difficulty of finding playing partners—making golf more accessible than ever.
As a result, the sport is evolving into a game for everyone, welcoming a new generation of players who bring fresh energy and enthusiasm to the fairways, it said.
Recognizing this momentum, Deemples said the firm is perfectly positioned to capitalize on this burgeoning trend by seamlessly connecting golfers across Southeast Asia, including the expanding market in Thailand.
It said the firm facilitates the very connections that drive golf tourism.
It noted its ability to link local players with international visitors, alongside its comprehensive booking and event features, creates a dynamic ecosystem that encourages both domestic and international golf participation.
With golf course partners in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei, and now Thailand, Deemples sees its platform a catalyst for the growth of golf tourism, fostering a vibrant and interconnected golfing experience for all.
