TikTok Shop plans to train at least 1,000 local sellers by the end of 2027 and more than 3,000 creators by the end of 2026 for the e-commerce ecosystem in Singapore, according to a statement of TikTok on Tuesday.

TikTok, the short video platform associated with e-commerce platform TikTok Shop, announced its commitments at its inaugural TikTok Shop Singapore Summit last week. The announcements come as TikTok Shop Singapore reported 1.7 times year-on-year growth in gross merchandise value and 1.6 times year-on-year growth in monthly buyers over the past year. Live viewership on the platform in Singapore increased 150 percent year-on-year.

Four seller-facing programs were announced. GO LIVE Academy targets new sellers learning the fundamentals of LIVE selling. The Growth Accelerator Programme is aimed at growing sellers looking to scale through personalised incubation and strategic guidance. The Merchant Self-LIVE Programme is designed to help sellers build in-house LIVE selling capabilities and reduce reliance on external hosts. The Brand IP Accelerator Programme targets sellers with an established content presence looking to strengthen brand identity.

Three creator-facing programs were also launched. LIVE Host Academy supports aspiring professional LIVE hosts by building hosting and sales skills and connecting them with sellers. Affiliate Accelerator supports creators looking to build affiliate-led businesses through LIVE selling and short-form content training. The Short Video Program supports emerging short-form creators through product storytelling training and seller collaboration opportunities.

Leon Koh, Fashion Cluster Lead and Head of Seller Management at TikTok Shop Singapore, said the strongest businesses are those investing in content creation capabilities, in-house LIVE expertise, and strategic creator partnerships, and that TikTok Shop is expanding support beyond tools and technology to focus on capability building across the ecosystem.

Among participating businesses, Kim’s Duet, a Singapore coffee brand built on the Kim Guan Guan heritage, reported 42 percent month-on-month GMV growth in June 2026 after going through TikTok Shop’s onboarding and Growth Accelerator program.
