Malaysia’s Qmed Asia and United States chipmaker Intel will cooperate to develop a unified patient monitoring platform for hospitals, combining Intel’s Patient Monitoring Hub Reference Implementation with Qmed Asia’s healthcare software to consolidate fragmented bedside data into a centralized Smart Ward dashboard.
Qmed Asia and Intel have reached a strategic collaboration for the move, Qmed Asia said in a statement on Thursday. The platform, optimized on Intel Core Ultra processors, aggregates patient monitoring data from connected bedside medical devices into a single dashboard featuring Early Warning Score alerts, continuous patient monitoring, vendor-neutral medical device integration, and scalable edge computing.
The collaboration can help hospitals across Malaysia and the broader region accelerate digital transformation and establish a foundation for AI-enabled clinical workflows. Deployment is already underway in hospitals across Malaysia.
