The United States-based Wesco International has completed the acquisition of Newark Engineering Group, a Singapore-based provider of engineered cooling solutions and lifecycle services for data centers, for S$175 million ($136 million).
In a statement on Wednesday, linked to another one in early June, Wesco International said the acquisition can expand its participation in the data center value chain across Southeast Asia.
Headquartered in Singapore with offices in Malaysia and Indonesia, Newark Engineering Group provides mission-critical cooling and thermal management solutions. It services include integrated customized HVAC solutions spanning design support, equipment supply, installation, commissioning, and lifecycle services for data centers. Newark recorded a revenue of $60 million in 2025.
John Engel, Chairman, President and CEO of Wesco, said the acquisition expands the company’s participation in the data center value chain, particularly in engineered cooling and lifecycle services, and provides a strong growth platform in Southeast Asia.
Fanny Lee, Managing Director of Newark Engineering Group, said partnering with Wesco will accelerate growth and expand the company’s ability to serve data center customers across Southeast Asia, with Wesco’s global platform allowing Newark to broaden its solutions portfolio and access new customers.
Wesco International is a Fortune 500 company headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with approximately $24 billion in annual sales in 2025, operating more than 700 sites across approximately 50 countries.
