German-listed Deutsche Defence Beteiligungen AG (DDB AG) has acquired Infinium Robotics, a Singapore-founded logistics technology company with deployments across Malaysian warehouse and logistics operations, in a transaction valued MYR95.6 million ($22 million).
In a statement on Monday, Infinium Robotics, based in both Singapore and Malaysia, said the deal involved DDB AG’s acquisition of 100 percent of Infinium’s 2.4 million shares from its existing shareholders, completed through the issuance of up to 20.5 million new DDB AG shares at $1.07 per share.
Infinium Robotics specializes in AI-driven autonomous drone systems that automate warehouse inventory processes, enabling continuous inventory tracking, high-accuracy data capture, and real-time operational insights. In Malaysia, the company’s solutions have been deployed in warehouses for telecommunications and logistics players across sites including Shah Alam, Subang Jaya, and Penang, supporting customers in sectors including logistics, FMCG, manufacturing, and electronics.
Infinium Robotics’s solutions are used globally by multinational corporations in logistics, manufacturing, and oil and gas, with customer-reported cost savings of more than 80 percent in inventory stocktaking processes.
Jon Woon, CEO of Infinium Robotics, said the transaction marks a significant step in the company’s international expansion, allowing it to scale more effectively into new markets through integration into DDB’s German-listed platform. Infinium plans to expand its footprint in Malaysia as part of its Asia-Pacific growth strategy, the executive added.
