Cata, a white-label SaaS platform for enterprise-grade branded apps, has raised $5.3 million in an oversubscribed seed funding round less than a year after its launch,

In a release on Wednesday, Singapore-based Cata said it seeks to expand access to enterprise-level digital tools for food and beverage (F&B) and retail businesses with the latest funding.

The platform allows businesses to launch and manage branded consumer apps that integrate functions such as mobile ordering, payments, loyalty programs, promotions, customer relationship management (CRM), and data analytics into a single system. These capabilities have traditionally been associated with large global brands such as Starbucks and McDonald’s, as well as delivery platforms like Grab, foodpanda, and Uber Eats.

The funding round was led by Portage, with participation from White Star Capital, 468 Capital, FoodLabs, FJ Labs, Rally Cap, and Iterative. Cata said the funds will be used to further develop its product, including artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, and to support international expansion.

David Brunier, founder and CEO of Cata, said the company aims to make advanced digital tools more accessible to businesses that have traditionally found them costly or complex to implement.

Cata’s platform is designed to reduce the time and investment typically required for app development, enabling businesses to deploy branded applications within days. It also allows companies to manage and analyze customer data, supporting functions such as personalized marketing, loyalty programs, and automated CRM workflows.

The platform can address increasing pressure on traditional businesses to digitize operations amid rising costs and competition, according to Cata. The company plans to expand beyond F&B into retail and booking services as part of its long-term strategy.
