PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GoTo), the digital ecosystem in Indonesia, has concluded its extraordinary general meeting of shareholders (EGMS), during which shareholders approved the company’s leadership succession plan, appointing Hans Patuwo as President Director and Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), succeeding Patrick Walujo.

Shareholders also approved several updates to the company’s Board composition, GoTo said in a statement on Wednesday.

Shareholders approved the resignations of Pablo Malay and Winato Kartono from the Board of Commissioners, and the appointments of Andre Soelistyo and Santoso Kartono to replace them.

The resignation of Ade Mulyana from the Board of Directors was also approved.

These changes form part of the company’s ongoing commitment to ensuring stability, strategic continuity, and strong governance as it enters its next phase of sustainable growth.

They also follow the leadership succession agenda and Board composition proposals previously announced by the Company, reinforcing GoTo’s focus on long-term growth.

“As we move forward, my focus will be on continuing our disciplined execution, and delivering long-term value for all stakeholders in our ecosystem,

“Our driver-partners are at the forefront, serving as the foundation of our success, along with the merchants and consumers who depend on our services every day,” said Hans Patuwo, newly appointed President Director and CEO of GoTo.

“With our millions of ecosystem partners, thousands of dedicated employees and GoTo’s experienced management team, I am confident that we are well positioned for continued success,” he added.

With almost eight years of experience at Gojek, GoPay and later at the GoTo Group level, Patuwo has led various key business lines within the Company.

He joined Gojek in 2018 as Chief Operating Officer focused on operations and the driver-partner ecosystem.

In 2021, he moved over to lead what would become GoTo Financial, overseeing the launch of the company’s lending business as well as the GoPay app, now one of Indonesia’s most widely-used fintech platforms.

Patuwo was appointed GoTo’s Chief Operating Officer in early 2024, charged with shaping Group strategy and driving the company’s cloud migration project.

The role of President of On-demand Services was added to his portfolio in July 2025.

Before joining Gojek, Patuwo worked across the United States, China and Singapore in a variety of multinational companies, including as a Partner at the management consulting firm McKinsey.
