Brankas, the Singapore-based Open Finance technology provider, and INFOPRO, a Malaysia-based artificial intelligence (AI)-driven banking solutions company, are joining hands to boost smarter credit and digital transformation across the Southeast Asia’s banking sector.
Together, they aim to modernize lending and credit management by combining Open Finance infrastructure with AI- driven banking solutions, enabling banks to make faster, data-informed credit decisions and deliver more personalized financial products, Brankas said in a statement on Monday.
According to the statement, Brankas and Infopro will combine their technological and industry expertise to enable financial institutions to modernize their credit and lending operations.
Their integrated solutions provide enhanced credit scoring through real-time, consent-based access to financial and alternative data.
They also provide personalized loan offerings with AI-powered analytics that assess true affordability and reduce default risks; streamlined digital lending workflows to improve speed, compliance, and customer experience.
The collaboration was formalized through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed on last Thursday.
This partnership combines Brankas’ Open Finance expertise with Infopro’s network and proven track record of successful digital project implementation with over 100 financial institutions in more than 30 countries.
It is noted that Malaysia is advancing Open Finance through an upcoming Exposure Draft led by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) with the support of Paynet, seven banks, and the Employees Provident Fund (EPF).
This initiative aims to define participation criteria, mandated datasets, and requirements for consent management and customer protection.
Against this backdrop, the Brankas-Infopro partnership aligns with national priorities to promote secure data-sharing frameworks, API standardization, and AI-enabled decisioning across financial institutions.
With this MoU, Brankas and Infopro also reaffirm their shared mission to empower banks and lenders with future-ready infrastructure that supports Open Finance adoption and drives inclusive credit growth.
“This partnership represents a powerful synergy between Open Finance and agentic AI,
“Together with Infopro, we’re helping banks unlock richer insights, faster credit decisions, and more accessible lending opportunities for millions of consumers,” said Mike Dickinson, Chief Operating Officer of Brankas.
Meanwhile, Desmond Ng, Marketing Director of INFOPRO, said this strategic partnership with Brankas is a pivotal step in redefining credit management for the digital age.
“By integrating our advanced AI-driven analytics with Brankas’ robust Open Finance infrastructure, we are providing financial institutions with a powerful, future-proof solution,
“This synergy allows banks to move beyond traditional credit scoring, enabling them to assess true customer affordability, mitigate risks with greater precision, and ultimately drive financial inclusion through more intelligent and personalized lending,” he added.
