Held from May 26 to May 28, BEYOND Expo Greater Bay Area (GBA) Innovation Tour 2025 has successfully concluded. The tour has brought together industry leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, academics, members of the media from various regions to visit leading tech companies and tech ecosystem players in the GBA.
Participants have the opportunity to visit selected companies with significant advancements in artificial intelligence, robotics, smart technologies, autonomous driving, new energy, reinforcing the Greater Bay Area’s position as a global hub for innovation.
The tour commenced on May 26 (Day 1) in Shenzhen.
The day’s itinerary included visits to XbotPark, a premier robotics and smart hardware incubator. XbotPark was cooperatively founded by Professor Li Zexiang, Professor Ping K. KO, and Professor Gan Jie in 2014, information from its Linkedin page showed.
XbotPark has successfully incubated over 80 startups, including six unicorns such as NARWAL, HAI ROBOTICS, CiDi, and EcoFlow.



Later on, attendees also visited Intellifusion Technologies, a leading Chinese artificial intelligence (AI) company specializing in visual AI, AI chips, and big data solutions. Established in 2014 and headquartered in Shenzhen, the company has developed a comprehensive AI ecosystem.



The day concluded with a visit to DeepRoute.ai, a leading artificial intelligence company founded in 2019 by Dr. Maxwell Zhou, headquartered in Shenzhen. DeepRoute.ai aims to create artificial general intelligence in robots and revolutionize the smart driving industry with innovative technology.
Participants got to experience a ride in car equipped with autonomous driving solutions.



May 27 (Day 2) continued the deep dive into Shenzhen’s technological landscape, in collaboration with Longgang District government.
The day began with a visit to YOUIBOT Robotics, a high-tech company based in Shenzhen, China, specializing in the development and manufacturing of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) for industrial automation. Founded in 2017, YOUIBOT focuses on providing comprehensive solutions for intelligent manufacturing, inspection, and maintenance.


Participants then explored the Shenzhen Universiade Sports Center.
There are several exhibition pavilions showcasing cutting-edge technologies in two key sectors: low-altitude economy (such as drones and urban air mobility) and sports technology.




Ampere Time
The tour also included Ampere Time, founded in 2018, which is a global provider of one-stop energy storage solutions, integrating R&D, manufacturing, overseas sales, and after-sales service.
The company offers a wide range of new energy products, including portable power stations, home and outdoor energy storage systems, inverters, and chargers.


Run Shi Hua New Energy Holding Group

The tour later visited Run Shi Hua New Energy Holding Group’s office. The group focuses on power energy management, new energy project development and comprehensive energy services. The company’s business covers power sales, energy storage technology, EPC general contracting and other fields, and provides customers with energy solution design and operation management services, among others.


Filmbase
The tour also featured FILMBASE, a leading global innovator focused on innovative materials for architecture, display, and new energy materials, dedicated to sustainable energy-efficient solutions.
As of January, the company has more than 150 invention patents. They cover a wide range of fields such as pdlc glass, 3D transparent media glass, thermostatic materials, etc., and are widely used in intelligent buildings, commercial displays, and the green energy industry.


On Day 3, the tour started with a visit to Umeox. Umeox is a national high-tech and innovative enterprise of software, hardware, service integrated solution. It develops and produces intelligent terminals based on IoT and AI technology, providing operators and vendors around the world with one-stop solution services, including hardware manfacturing.


The tour later visited UBTECH Robotics, a leading Chinese robotics company founded in 2012 and headquartered in Shenzhen. UBTECH specializes in humanoid and smart service robots, integrating advanced AI technologies. xxx The company developed Walker, China’s first commercialized life-sized biped humanoid robot, and holds over 2,450 robotics and AI-related patents.
Established in March 2012, UBTECH Robotics is a leading humanoid robots and smart service robots company. The group is listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on Dec 29 2023. The group has developed a full stack of humanoid robotic technologies independently.

Based on its full-stack technologies, the company has engaged in the research and development, design, smart production, and commercialization of smart service robots. It has established a smart robotic solution with hardware, software, service and content all integrated together, covering various industries such as AI education, smart logistics, smart wellness and elderly care, and business service.

The GBA is at the forefront of China’s economic development.
The BEYOND Expo Greater Bay Area 2025 Innovation Tour provided an insightful experience into the technological advancements and innovative spirit thriving within the Greater Bay Area.
