RewardinMe, an AI-powered playable marketing platform with clients across Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand, Taiwan and Indonesia, announced Tuesday its foray into Myanmar, making it the company’s sixth market.
The expansion, made through a partnership with Thailand-based market-access and B2B consultancy RevSEA, kicked off last month with the launch of an 18-month gamified marketing campaign for one of Myanmar’s largest e-wallet providers, according to a statement.
The move takes Malaysian-built marketing technology into one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing mobile finance markets.
Using in-app games such as spin-to-win, scratch cards and lucky draws, localized in Burmese and optimized by RewardinMe’s AI Agents, the campaign in Myanmar aims to turn passive wallet users into frequent daily transactors while capturing first-party, consented data, the company said.
“Myanmar is a mobile-first, young market where the race among e-wallets is no longer about downloads but about daily active usage. Rather than interrupting people with ads, we let them enjoy fun games. Brands earn attention, loyalty and the customer data they need,” said RewardineMe Founder Steve Wan.
The opportunity is underpinned by demographics: Myanmar has a young, mobile-first population and rapidly growing internet adoption, with high smartphone usage making telecom operators and e-wallets the primary alternative to traditional financial institutions.
“Working with RewardinMe has been rewarding because they bring something genuinely new to this market — gamified, playable marketing that few others here offer,” said RevSEA Founder and Managing Director May Ahyoneoo.
The Myanmar foray builds on a regional track record. Since 2023, RewardinMe said it has powered campaigns for more than 360,000 participants, with brands achieving up to three times higher engagement than conventional digital campaigns.
Its clients include household names such as Maybank, RHB Bank, AEON Group, Eco-Shop, CUCKOO, Yeo’s, Eu Yan Sang and Cool Rhino. Earlier this year, RewardinMe won a BEYOND Innovation Award at BEYOND Expo in Macao.
“We see this campaign for a fintech brand as the key to deeper market penetration in the country, and we are already in discussions with other players. We are optimistic about future growth across the region,” Steve concluded.
