Salesforce has unveiled AIforce, an interface layer designed to make its data, workflows, permissions and business logic available from AI tools without requiring users to work directly inside a conventional Salesforce screen.
Announced at Dreamforce, AIforce is intended to let people and software agents work with Salesforce from interfaces including Claude, Slack and Salesforce’s own Agentforce products. The company said requests continue to run through existing Salesforce permissions and business rules.
The announcement expands the architecture TNGlobal covered in August when Salesforce and Anthropic introduced Claudeforce, which connected Claude with CRM data and governed actions through Salesforce.
AIforce now groups several interface initiatives under a broader layer. Salesforce said the first set includes Claudeforce, Slackforce and Agentforce Coworker.
Salesforce in Claude moves into beta
Salesforce in Claude uses a prebuilt Model Context Protocol server and includes 37 sales skills covering tasks such as prospecting, meeting preparation and pipeline management. Salesforce said the integration had been piloted by Deloitte, GitLab and Legora and is now available to customers in beta.
The company also introduced a Salesforce Development plug-in for Claude Code with more than 40 skills, while saying future Salesforce in Claude capabilities are planned for Tableau, service, marketing, commerce and industry workflows.
Slack and Coworker become additional interfaces
Slackforce is designed to surface Salesforce and Slack context inside shared conversations and dynamically generated interfaces. Salesforce said users can create or update CRM records and trigger workflows from Slack rather than opening a separate CRM view.
Agentforce Coworker runs inside Salesforce’s Lightning interface and can call specialized Agentforce agents already deployed by a customer. Salesforce said Coworker uses existing permissions and business rules and that 100,000 users activated it during its first 35 days.
For ASEAN customers, Salesforce is positioning AIforce around conversational work patterns. Paul Carvouni, Salesforce Senior Vice President and General Manager for ASEAN, said the approach could let employees act on enterprise information from the channels where they already work.
The practical issue for enterprises will be how permissions, auditability and approval controls behave as interfaces become more flexible and agents can initiate actions across multiple systems. Salesforce says its architecture keeps requests within existing governance controls and uses zero data retention with model providers.
Salesforce cautioned that pricing and packaging may change and that availability can vary by region and customer agreement.
