Tencent Cloud, the cloud unit of Chinese technology giant Tencent, will provide cloud infrastructure to Bookme, a Pakistan-born travel and e-ticketing platform, to support its expansion across the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

In a statement on Tuesday, Tencent Cloud said it would host and scale Bookme’s consumer platforms and embedded booking services. The collaboration can help Bookme manage global travel inventory and absorb demand spikes during travel peaks, promotions, and major events. No financial terms were disclosed.

Bookme, founded in Pakistan in 2012, is one of the country’s largest digital ticketing platforms and has served more than 15 million customers. It has expanded into five other regions, including the Middle East and North Africa, offering flights, hotels, events, tours, airport lounges, e-visas, and pilgrimage bookings.

Its inventory spans more than 500 airlines and over one million hotels. Its booking platform is available through an interface as a mini-app across more than 40 platforms, powering embedded bookings for fintech, banking, and super-app partners.

Rachel Xie, general manager of Tencent Cloud MENA, said scalable cloud infrastructure is increasingly important as digital platforms grow across markets. Faizan Aslam, Bookme’s founder and chief executive, said that scalable technology is critical as the company expands its global footprint.
