Singapore-based AI and digital transformation company Temus, established by Temasek in 2021, has made a strategic investment in Thinking Machines Data Science, a Manila-founded AI and data company and OpenAI’s first official services partner in Asia Pacific.

In a statement on Thursday without financial details, Temus said the partnership can help enterprises across Southeast Asia move from AI experimentation to production deployment. The cooperation can combine Thinking Machines’ expertise in data platforms, AI implementation, and OpenAI-enabled services with Temus’ enterprise transformation capabilities across cloud and application engineering, consulting, and design.

Temus works with public and private sector organizations across healthcare, financial services, education, and government, and supports Singapore’s Smart Nation and National AI Strategy priorities.

Thinking Machines was founded in 2015 by Stephanie Sy and has served more than 110 clients, trained more than 10,000 professionals in AI, and deployed hundreds of AI systems into production across financial services, retail, conglomerates, and the civic sector. It operates offices in Manila, Singapore, and Bangkok. Following the investment, Sy will serve as Managing Director of Applied AI and Data at Temus while continuing as CEO of Thinking Machines.

Sng Ren Yeong, CEO of Temus, said Thinking Machines brings deep capability in engineering, governance, and integration needed to run AI systems under real operating conditions including constrained data, regulatory requirements, and complex workflows. The investment can scale up AI utilization, the executive added.
