Singapore-headquartered SuperX AI Technology Limited plans to invest in a 1-GW data center cluster in Kazakhstan, executives expressed at a meeting with Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum’s “Summer Davos” in China.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Official Information Source of the Prime minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan said Bektenov met with Huang Chenghong, Chairman of the Board and CEO of SuperX AI Technology Limited, to discuss plans. SuperX plans to roll out the plan in phases between 2026 and 2029.

The project includes construction of a full AI campus, development of power supply and digital infrastructure, and the supply of server equipment and other technological solutions for the data centers.

The talks come as digitalization and artificial intelligence (AI) adoption are of strategic importance for Kazakhstan. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has declared 2026 the “Year of Artificial Intelligence and Digitalization” and has approved a National Strategy called “Digital Kazakhstan” featuring the country’s technological development priorities.

Other participants included representatives of Yulin Irrigation, Xiamen Wanli Stone, Jinyi Holding Group, Guangzhou Automobile Group, CATL, and CISDI Engineering.
