VinFast, the electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer of Vietnam’s conglomerate Vingroup, has announced the rollout of its VF MPV 7 electric vehicle from its Subang plant in Indonesia.
The announcement was part of a four-day VF MPV 7 customer experience event in Indonesia, VinFast said in a statement on Thursday. The VF MPV 7 is part of VinFast’s Limo Green lineup, focusing on family-oriented customers.
The seven-seater vehicle is powered by an electric motor producing 150 kW and 280 Nm of torque. VinFast said the 60.2 kWh battery pack provides a driving range of up to 450 km under NEDC standards. The battery can charge from 10 percent to 70 percent in around 30 minutes using fast charging technology.
The VF MPV 7 also includes features such as Indonesian voice-controlled virtual assistant functions, smartphone-based vehicle management services, rear parking assist, rear-view camera, and cruise control.
Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto, CEO of VinFast Indonesia, said the VF MPV 7 is a strategic product for the company in Indonesia and that the rollout from the Subang plant represents a milestone in VinFast’s localization efforts. The rollout comes months after VinFast inaugurated its electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Subang, West Java, in December 2025.
The facility is being developed on a 171-hectare site with projected total investment exceeding $1 billion. VinFast highlighted future production capacity could reach up to 350,000 vehicles annually. The Subang plant currently produces the VF 3, VF 5, VF 6, VF 7, and VF MPV 7 models, with additional models expected to be added in the future.
