Malaysia aims to empower 300,000 students and professionals with artificial intelligence (AI) skills through a new training initiative launched by Oracle and MyDIGITAL Corporation, the government’s digital economy agency.

The Oracle Skills Development Initiative (SDI) will offer free access to globally recognized certifications to enhance employability and support career growth by 2029, Malaysia’s Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo said in a a post on Facebook on Friday.

The program was officially unveiled at Oracle AI Experience Live 2026, highlighting the country’s push to become an AI-driven economy by 2030.

Participants will receive over 200 hours of structured learning and certification opportunities over the next three years.

Courses will cover a range of technologies, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), OCI Generative AI, OCI Data Science, Oracle APEX, OCI DevOps, and OCI Security.

All training will be delivered through Oracle MyLearn, the company’s comprehensive enablement platform.
